Das Ende der Liebe’s music addresses the tension between the ever-demanding pace of contemporary life and our subconscious yearning for moments of reflection and contemplation.
Andreas Völk (Guitar, Voice, Live Beat- & Sound Processing), Laurenz Gemmer (Yamaha CP70, Ableton Live), Kenn Hartwig (Bass, Nintendo GameBoy) and Thomas Sauerborn (Drums, Synths) are vibrational sound alchemists who crafted a new universe, ever-expanding, built from electronics, acoustics, psychedelics and groove since the year of the portal, 2014.
In September 2022, the band released SCHNEE, which earned the honour of being voted one of GROOVE MAGAZINE’s Top 20 essential albums of 2022. […] SCHNEE effortlessly traverses a spectrum of sonic possibilities, from Dark Ambient to their self-proclaimed ‘Alien-Jazz’ and Industrial influences, with unmistakable nods to Can, Throbbing Gristle, and Psychic TV.
The new album Persist (2025) marks the next chapter in the band’s ongoing musical odyssey – and this time, they are joined by transdisciplinary, non-binary artist su dance110. Persist was awarded the German Record Critics’ Award (Preis der deutschen Schallplattenkritik) in the category Experimental and Electronic.
